Default NC Dealer doesn't think gear is necessary

http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=19752.0

While I don't want to give him any free publicity, I do think he should atleast be portraying an image for new riders to look up to since he's a dealer...

Anyone know any ways to knock some sense into him?

Mods... feel free to move to the Gear section if you prefer

My favorite is still the '05 Repsol. Only $16,500!

I dont think its as uncommon as you may think...i know a local place here in town and while they sell gear, Ive never heard or seen them promote it in the least and most of their employees go gearless...

yeah the 16.5 repsol is funny... guess that chrome is expensive. especially since they have a regular 1krr thats a year newer for half the price...

he and i argued back and forth through email yesterday before i eventually gave up... be basically said that he prays and Jesus is is savior so he doesnt need gear since he's prepared to move on...

Maybe he's been touched by the graces of God too.

Same here. The local Zuk stealership doesn't offer much in the way of protection aside from helmets. And they're always pushing to sell the bigger bikes, especially to those who've never ridden. Bah.

Even the local HD store...which doesn't sell Buell BTW... doesn't offer anymore in their store than a few helmets and some HD gear like leather jackets and boots.

And their employees? Gearless....

WTF are they thinking? Its not a 1 of a kind, former Miguel Duhamel race bike that has only 4 laps on it...ITS A USED, OFF THE RACK BIKE. Sadly, some new squid paying with Mommy's trust fund money will be convinced its the only one out there and the deal of the century. Sad.

530 chain, nothing else high performance other than what the bike came with, a ton of overweight chrome.....thanks but no thanks. They are not even sure how many miles are on the bike when you call.

I would not want to give one cent to a place like this!

For that kind of money, you would have thought it would come with a chrome chain and grips.
