Default Watson Challenge on Jeopardy

Anybody else watch the past 2 days? They just finished game 1 of 2 today. So far, not so close.

Its been interesting to watch.

Suppose I'll make the first obligatory SkyNet comment...

I forgot all about that. I saw a documentary on it on PBS last week. I'll have to try and catch the rest of the shows this week.

I had forgotten all about it. When I saw it mentioned on the news this morning, the first thing I said was *Didn't we learn anything from Terminator 2?*.

The technology aspect of "Watson" is truly remarkable. Just in the medical field, the possibilities of sorting through large amounts of information quickly can be a big help to someone who needs a specialized treatment.

However, as far as an entertaining TV show, it sucks donkey balls. ( I really enjoy Jeopardy, too ).

Read some where that while watson was able to answer questions better and faster than us humans, it needs to be restarted, have its memory cleared, and basically rescued.
