Default $120 for a BT014 150/60ZR18 a good deal?

Im definitely a noob when it comes to MC tires, but the old fizzer caught a nail in the rear tire and ive always been told when that happens to just replace it. Anyways im watching it on ebay, and itll be about 40 bucks to mount it around here. is it worth it?

ebay listing

Edit: i asked'em how old the tires were and he said they were " new production - like '07"

The main problem with buying tires off ebay is that they could be old and improperly stored. Ozone from electric motors attack tires as does old age. The tire gets harder, just like what racing does to tires. You could ask for the DOT code on the tire and look it up to see when the tire was manufactured.

I'd say screw that and go buy a tire in person. mind if I ask what year your FZR is? looks like early 90's with the double headlights on it.

I had spoken to someone at the local shop before i posted this, and he said the same thing [he was asking 200 and change for the same tire without mount and balance] when i mentioned the online price. I checked dennis kirk and they're all out of stock too.
