I call bullshit... the world didn't get color until the 50's.

Seriously though, that's really great material.
They have a whole different feel from most of the photos you see from that era.

You're thinking color TV/movies. Color photography was actually available as early as 1898 (although at that point it was rare, and hard to use, being as it was still designed for daguerrotypes and the like). "Modern" color film was available through Kodak by 1935.

That being said, these are really cool. Oddly enough, even though I've learned a lot about FSA photographers, I've never seen these photos before. Come to think of it though, it's not that odd - there's still an attitude against color photography in editorial and journalism work, even though it's not as prevalent as it was back then or even in the 60's.

No, I'm saying the WORLD was not in color until the 50's... what good would color film have been?
