Default need help

i took apart my plastics for my up coming move and was looking to remove my headlights from my plastics and this one screw is giving me a hard time

it just keeps spinning freely as if it was stripped but wont come out.
i got the one on the other side off this is what it looks like inside

im thinking the gold piece in the last picture is spinning with the screw, anyone have an idea as to how get this off?

thanks in advance

Try a gentle pressure to the back side of the screw while you loosen it.

You probably have it cross threaded inside the insert and that is why it is spinning.

I can give you a hand with it later in the week.

If we can't break it free, you can just cut off the head of the bolt and replace the insert piece when you put it back together.
