Finally, a four-stroke engine with a magical self-activating intake valve!

It's about time!

Score!

"During the intake stroke, the piston moves downward, drawing a fresh charge of vaporized fuel/air mixture. The illustrated engine features a poppet intake valve which is drawn open by the vacuum produced by the intake stroke. Some early engines worked this way; however, most modern engines incorporate an extra cam/lifter arrangement as seen on the exhaust valve. The exhaust valve is held shut by a spring (not illustrated here)."

A 6 stroke uses water injection instead of fuel for 2 strokes.

The water flashes off, expands and acts on the piston like combustion would.

I've only heard of it in diesel engines and it significantly lowers operating temperatures. You save a lot of weight by a smaller cooling system, but you have to carry around a tank of water.

I'm also unsure if the water needs to be treated or not, or if you can fill it from a garden hose.

There is also one with 2 pistons that face each other and the top piston uncovers the valve type area the top pston turns at half the speed of the bottom one so you get 6 strokes for the normal four.

The other one is a gas or diesel engine that also has a steam stroke by directly injecting water in to cool the engine and make a extra power stroke.
