Default Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

Anybody planning on buying this on Black Friday? I heard that's when the announcement and release will be, but it appears to be available online already.

Is that the same phone bond was messing with in the quantum of solace?

well the theory of micro forced air induction to speed up electronics has been widely debated between morons and retards respectively. in my theory, once the air is forced into the circuit board, it awakens the mystical dragon, who sends a sign to the gnome people that it is time to make everything fast.

Just that, Turbo 3G. Available in the UK and some of Europe now.

Just checking the interest. People can't say enough about the iPhone when they release a new model, but Sony Ericsson doesn't advertise much in the US, so I doubt most people even know about the X1.

The Apple of the last few years has been more a marketing machine than anything else.

They have done a good job of creating a buzz even before the products are released.

I am in the category of not having heard of the X1 prior to this thread but I know that's not much of a surprise.

What do you think of it?

What providers are going to offer it?

You aren't kidding, Apple's got advertising in the US figured out pretty well.

I've been using an X1 for a couple months now. It took me a while to adjust to using Windows Mobile, but now I really like it. Internet access is fast, the optical mouse is easy to use, and some of the panels (home screens) give you a huge amount of information at a glance.

The camera takes decent pictures, but it's only 3.2MP. Need to improve that.

Oh, and it makes pretty good phone calls too. Not that anybody cares about that part of cell phones anymore.

"Only" 3.2 MP? Not too many phones are higher than that....

Does it have stereo bluetooth? The older Ericsson I have doesn't (but then it was already outdated when I bought it)
