Default My new head gear

2009 Burton (anon) optics Solace

Cause snow can get pretty shiny on a sunny day. and an eye full of fake snow never makes a happy camper either.

Being as this thread is already thoroughly derailed, I wonder how much of a straight response I'll get... but here goes:

How do those (meaning the actual goggles) hold up in warmer climates (read: desert, sun). Those might be something I'd consider investing in before I deploy again to Iraq.

done leave em out in the sun, it'll kill the elasticity pretty quick and render the strap and foam useless over time. i left mine in the back shelf of my car for a few months in summer, which is why im buying these.

They're made to reduce glare/sun from sun... it doesnt get much brighter than that.

These cost upwards of 140 bucks, you can get decent set of spy gogs for 1/4 that that will prolly give you the same protection.

True.. they also make some that are ballistic (and that are available through USStandardIssue.com), so they might work out better for my application than the OP's.
