ALWAYS Have Another Way of Getting In Your House
Not trying to stir the pot anymore after Ed's FD breaking into his house, but you should ALWAYS have another way of getting into your house. Not just in case you get locked out, but you've also lock first responders out too, especially when it's a true emergency and seconds count.
Taken from one of the EMS blogs I read. You can't get help in a true emergency when responders can't get in. Something else to take into consideration. http://ambulancedriverfiles.blogspot...-citizens.html Quote:

I never lock my house. I've gone on vacation already with the sliding glass door wide open and the front door unlocked. I live in a community that's far enough outside of town and private enough that I wouldn't even worry about it.
Now, if I were a 100lb 19-year old spinner living by myself in a bad neighborhood I may take more precautions... and stay at home and masturbate in the mirror 24/7... but I'm a big fat guy with guns. Fuck it. |

I always plan for a back up rear entrance...Teehee.
Really though my first wife liked it that way, she was always losing her keys and locking herself outta de car and house, so I got plenty of practice breaking in and hiding spare keys...

I also know how to reglaze a window, so if I ever have to break in there's a pane in my kitchen that'll go and I can replace it for a few dollars.
