Brother, you have more excuse for not buying a bike than anyone I've ever heard.

Hell, I've made it through 2 of the 3 steps I need. Bought the house and got out of debt (with the exception of the house). Now it's just a matter of saving up for the bike I want (I'm not going into debt again for anything). Last edited by Captain Morgan; 07-02-2009 at 07:38 PM.. |

Received a conditional offer of employment today. Pay would be 2k above what I'm making now. Not much, but still better. Not to mention I'll have about a 5-10 minute drive to work instead of an 80-90 minute drive. Woohoo!! Job will start at the end of August. Just have to go through background check.

Thats great!! Not to mention, the money you'll save on gas too!! So technically its better than a 2k raise!

Yep. Plus, heard from a friend of mine in a gov't job that you get automatic raises within the first year, which moves you up two pay grades. If this is true, I'll be making another 8k per year by Sept of next year. THAT will be sweet and will be the money I need to get a bike!!!! |
