Default Another reason to wear gear

Rider loses it on storm debris, bike stops in ditch, riding buddy runs over his helmeted head

A few days before this incident, we had heavy, heavy rains which washed all kinds of crap out of the ditches. This road is a nice twisty road but has plenty of blind - short sight distance corners. I will assume he came around a corner and hit small stones/crap and ended up in the ditch.

I hope he's OK but haven't heard anything.

I'm amazed at the stupidity of not wearing gear around here. T-shirts, sneakers , no gloves or helmets.

I'd much rather sweat that have skin abraded off ( or worse )in a crash.

generally backwards baseball caps tend to be the safety equipment of choice.

Handle every stressful situation like a DOG: If you can't eat it or hump it, pi$$ on it & walk away.
