Or the ghetto i should say, what a frekin night. we get all this and were not even a level I trauma center.
GSW to the face stumbles/walks in prety much decompensates and dies, prolly better off half his face was gone anyway. Stab wound to the neck, I told this guy to go buy a lottery ticket because a few mm's deeper and he would have died Cop messes up his hand arresting a not so nice person EMS brings in 2 girls from a fight in a club turns out one may be bleeding in the brain And i still have another 2 hrs to go Tom |

if it's anything like the area where I work, the warmer it gets the more action that is happening. I wouldn't even want to know about the crap that goes through the hosp.
If nothing else sounds like your nights must fly by though. You sure can't claim boredom. |

well the craziness continued into my day yesterday at the jobsite. real busy day to begin with.
Then I see a young guy had a somewhat odd story as to what was going on so I kept an eye on him for a bit then decided to call ems. Turns out he got admitted for a cardiac work up, so I was glad we sent him. So as were getting him loaded up in the bus a guy comes in with a partial thumb amputation. The EMS guys were great they stuck around pitched in a bit and we got both guys out and both are doing well. I may need to be treated for carpal tunnel syndrome after today since I have to write all this stuff up today Tom |
