While I dont feel one bit sorry for him, it kinda frustrates me that they were so much harder on him than many others who have been done the same.
I remember the same thing happening many times, and usually its 3 months jail and a short suspension, or some other ridiculous sentence. Dont get me wrong, im not saying he should have got less, the thing is, why isnt everyone else who kills someone drinking and driving getting the same? |

Ding.
I had this conversation with a friend earlier (after I saw this thread), and she said 'Oh, but its worse cuz he's a biker himself'... She owns a sportster 1200, and for some reason, feels that bikers should be more responsible. I quickly explained, that 90% of bikers, as well as 90% of famous people, and 90% of regular people, are idiots. One idiot should be punished the same as the next. She agreed partially, because she's a woman and see's a need to be at least partially right, even when she isnt. |

Maybe on civil charges, but I doubt the victim's family gets any real say in the criminal matter.
