the F800GS is a parallel twin. run 11000 new... 13000 out the door with ABS (selectable) heated grips, trip computer, and clear signals(who really cares).

what is the difference between that and something like an KTM 690? I rode one of those and couldn't get used to it, it was so damn high and had alot of brake dive.

it's got more power... a little more road focused from what I've been told.
I've yet to ride either... but I've set on the 800GS... the nice thing about the 800 is that it's got a payload that rivals the 1200.. but has much better off road prowess. it gets 50-60 mpg... has a 4.2 gal tank... perfect for me (like to get over 200mpt) |

love the old 900rr's put a black tail section on it and ride the piss out of it. The swing arm and rear hugger would have to be repainted as well.

I can see that 900 crying. It's weeping and drowning in it's own sorrow. I'd pick it up because of some of the delicious parts, but would trailer it home in a box trailer and hide it in the garage until new fairings showed up. Anybody notice that the frame, case covers, and the rear wheel are all painted like that?

What is the whole "Stick Up" reference?
Also, anyone notice how he claims "Ohlins front and rear" but it still has the stock forks? Sure, he could have put Ohlins internals in them, but then why does he have a Showa sticker on them instead of Ohlins? |
