I used to ride my bike about an hour & 1/2 up to the track for a track day. It wasn't all that bad, but I also had friends up there that could give me a lift home should something happen. Regardless, it STILL made for an exhausting day & a long ride home.

I'd never ride to the track. For the exhaustion factor and the "what if".

Eh, it kinda sucked on the ride home but it wasn't all that bad... did it for a while. All of 2005, really so probably 8-12 times.
But again, it made for a long day and I also had friends that could have taken care of me if something happened. I just didn't want to make them go out of their way by bring me up there if I didn't have to. We usually went out to dinner afterwards, so it would give me time to relax and recharge a little. It's definitely much more convenient if you have a trailer, but I wouldn't say it's a necessity. We have probably 5-10 riders a day that ride to our events.

My 'closest' track is Pocono and thats 2 hours away....so, for me, riding just isn't a doable thing.
