Congrats on the car, can't go wrong with a Honda!

Honda Fit's seem like nice cars. I was looking at them at the auto show. It all looked great until some monster got in the car with me. I was in the driver side and he was in the passenger/center console/driver's hip side. for normal people it seemed like it would be great.

18,862 total cost (over a long ass loan) isn't bad on a Fit.
What was the negotiated price of the car?

Yeah that's a long time. Everything I've been told is that if you have to finance, 48 mo should be your max. If you can't afford a car on a 48 mo payment, you need to buy a cheaper car.

10:1 that the failed emissions on the focus is in the evap recovery system...

No it was more than that, small things, nothing major but it all added up to wanting a new car.

As far as the loan, it will be refinanced through USAA in the next week for 1% less. I also (have done this on 3 cars so far) have a habit of paying the cars off early. The focus we just got rid of was paid off in 2 years, the other focus took 3, and my truck in on track to take a hair over 3, but a 60 month loan gave me a 5.99 intrest rate instead of 6.99 from honda

It really bugs me that for the $20 the keless entry clicker sells for that they just dont add it into the cost of the car, its not expensive and the parts are already part of the car itself.

on my last Ford (2k1 Mercury Mountaineer) it cost about $3,000 when all was said and done to find the freakin' problem (a pinhole leak burried behind the spare tire) under the vehicle. On my Explorer before that it was an obvious leak that was easy to find and I took care of it myself.

Either way, it drove me freakin' NUTS.
