That's why I'm done debating with you gentlemen... I completely lack the facilities to pose an adequate challenge to your superior intellects. Oh and yes I am being serious and sincere. I don't stand a chance in hell of ever "winning " an argument here. Even if I were to be correct, a rather slim possibility at best , it wouldn't matter because I'm the one that said it.

I believe that this is a similar situation for Homeslice and don't worry I am not presuming to be as intelligent as he is. His original premise that "talking on the phone and driving with one hand isn't any more dangerous than driving with one hand and talking to a passenger " is actually a reasonable and defensible opinion but since he is the person proposing it...

And if it were true (everyone seems to single out you and Homeslice), why do you think that is?

Because some have a habit of dragging past arguments into other threads, instead of treating each one by its own merits, IMO

Understood, and I agree with the point. I think EVERYONE does that, though....including you and Tigger. But how can we (all of us) not? Pretty difficult to remain conscious of that and not do it.

A valid point.

Maybe create a feature that hides both avatars and usernames? But then it wouldn't be as fun I guess.

I know I could stand to lighten up a little.

For the record studies in Australia and Britain have shown that talking with a passenger doesn't have the same deleterious effect to driving ability as does talking on a cell phone, which is generally found to be equivalent to having had three 'standard' alcoholic drinks. On the other hand, using a headset while talking on a cell phone is statistically almost the same as talking on a hand-held phone while driving.

Well, personally the reverse is true for me, which leads me to believe there are others out there like me.

#10 Stop in the middle of the road to hold a conversation with a car going the opposite direction especially when someone is directly behind you!

Then I guess that laws should be written for the exceptions, rather than the rule huh?
