No group sex for the Chinese...

Republicanism...same boat. Give the government too much power and everything it gave you can get taken away.

Don't totally disagree, but I think its much deeper than that. See, the government doesn't have to take things away....they just brainwash the public until the public begs them to take X right away. Genius.

It usually helps if you give it a name that's the opposite of what it really is...like the "Patriot Act". The fact that it tramples the Constitution, and yet features that name is just pure propaganda genius, no?

So yes, Kaneman's right...no need for the government to take things away, they just start a propaganda campaign, instill fear, give it a snazzy ironic name (lest we forget that many don't get irony and sarcasm so easy), and voilĂ*! The people beg for it.

Baaaaaaahhhhhh.

Works the same here as it does in China.

Exactly. And its so fucking obvious it still blows my mind how easy it is to pull off. The American public eats that shit up like Pop Rocks.

On the bulletin board of another major Website, Sohu.com, almost half of the survey participants said they supported Ma’s right to do what he did.
Almost half supported his right to do it... So, more than half agreed that he was a criminal. Scary.
