Boxers are too dense, and they sink like stones. That's why they don't swim.
Mine jumped off a dock and started sinking, so she jumped as best as she could and climbed back up the dock. It was hilarious.

fnny after following him around for an hour Lucy slept like a rock last night. her eyes were "sleepy" looking already on the way home. LOL
I had a shepherd like that growing up. He used to tow me around by pulling a rope attached to an inflatable raft.

LOL maybe that's why she stays in the shallows. she already knows her butt won't be floating. it was funny watching her waiting for the other dog to come in close enough so she could splash around with him.

Gee, if only you knew of someone with a boat, dog and open access to the lake. I even have doggie life jackets, it has a handle so it's easy to help my old dog back into the boat.

My poor girl would probably shit bricks if I got her out on a boat.

took over a year to get mine in the truck, over 3 years to get her in the Jeep (rough ride) I tried to put her in the canoe on shore and it was not happening. I think she would have clawed right through the aluminum if she couldn't have just jumped out. the thought of putting her in my boat -- never. LOL
