Is that first pic with the step retracted or before it was installed?

How do you know the MPG? Onboard computer or do you hand calc?

Retracted. Scroll up and you'll see the shiny chrome-like step. I'm normally not a fan of steps, but this truck is huge.

I'm kicking it old skool with math. Onboard computer says 26.4, it can't do math.

I saw the chrome.

I wasn't sure if the retracted step folded under the truck (like it does) or against the bottom of the rocker panel.

I was going to commend you for actually hauling shit in your truck but on second glance, it's just the old steps.

Go 7.3L or 6.4L or 6.7L. Avoid the 6.0 like the plague.

7.3L, dead reliable, make about 400 hp affordably and get around 18-20.

6.4L can make ~500 pretty cheap (tuner and DPF delete) and get low 20's

6.7L I've heard bone stock is putting around 360 to the ground and getting low 20's.

Just depends on what you want to spend...
7.3 is '99 to '03 (in the superduty style) and a decent one will run you around $16k.
6.4 is '08 to '10 and they are still in the 20's to 30's.
6.7 is new... yeah, like 50k ++

much cleaner look with the fold up steps. like it much. still thinking of taking the boards off of mine. it is only 2 wd so not that hard to get into. i hate the look with the running boards but certain people who ride in the truck would like them to stay.
