Default D-Day

heres to all the guys who were there and those that didnt make it back.

http://www.army.mil/d-day/

My grandfather was part of the 1st infantry division that landed on normandy. He was one of the lucky ones who made it back alive. Sux that he died before I was old enough to understand what they did. He told me soem stories but as a 6 or 7 yr old kid you just cant understand it.

I went there a few years ago for work, got a chance to jump into St Mar Eglise. I also got a chance to look at the five beaches, plus Point du Hoc. Just walking around those areas is wild, its amazing to look at the area and think that people ran off boats straight at machine guns, and were still successful.

I just want to go camping and hiking in the Ardennes. Sit out at night and listen to the Ghosts...
