Default Beginner's Bike

Remember Honda's mini-Interceptor? No, not the 500, but the V-twin with 250cc's: http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/852741388.html. The front brake looks like a drum, but is actually an enclosed disc brake. As I remember the test from Motorcycle magazine, they loved it in 1989. Would make a great beginner bike.

That would be a great little commuter, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on it.

There is one for sale at a local shop near me. Which with this shop you know the bike is in perfect condition. But more expensive than the craigslist bike.

I'd love to own one of these one day soon, just for a cheap little get around town machine, and keep the CBR for hardcore riding.

I think I saw the 500cc Interceptor today. And a Superhawk, and a SecaII.

The superhawk was a 2000, and still had the stock signals. Inspection was even up-to-date. It was gorgeous. Comfortable too.
