Don't know how to make penicillin but I would figure it out knowing it comes from mold.

to be honest...
I'd be fucked... I have NO skills that would translate to that time period... I'm very slight build (a runner)... and have only been trained in computers... I'm tall so I'd stick out like a sore thumb... average hight back then I'd imagine was around 5'5" or 5'7"... Maybe I'll teach them all basketball and dominate them seriously though... I'd be fucked. |

Learn how ride a horse, the closest thing to a motorcycle back then. probably open a smithy to make some money and build the first battery powered motorcycles. Recharge the battery packs via my waterwheel powered generator.
And ebbs, runner = messenger.

I would live as a god by using my cell phone to hypnotize the uneducated...Now really i recall enough from science class I am sure I could eek out a living. 1000ad was a happening time...Persia and Egyp were fairly "modern" scientifically, China was coming along well inventing gunpowder, and the Vikings were nearing their zenith as explorers/traders/pillagers.
