They deserve so much more than just a Thank You! My entire family across the country lights a candle at exactly 6 p.m. (eastern), 5 (central), 4 (mountain), etc to honor our family members who have served and/or lost their lives while serving. It's our way of having everyone as together as possible at the same time. We also do it for Memorial Day. Happy Veterans Day everyone! |

At exactly 12 noon we will be having our Annual Veterans Day celebration by the raising of largest flag (50x80) flown on the largest flagpole (170ft) in the state of Florida. (That we know of as of now!) I'll try to get pics, we have police honor guard, and sometimes the fire department, as well we military volunteers.
It is a heartwarming and tearjerking moment every time, no matter the reason and a big thank you to all who have served and are currently serving. |

Parade here. Everyone lines main street and all the vets ride down the streets to cheers and flags. Really a nice sentiment
