got mine on a couple of sites... realy didn't work out too well, mostly spam and b.s.

however! I do advise indeed.com

It just basically searches for the jobs you specify in the area.... if I find a job I like, I goto that company's main page and apply directly through the actual company offering the position.

Took me about four months to get a new job down here in HSV, only got interviews for two slots in that time, one finally paid out.

Keep yer head down, keep truggin' along, you'll be alright. Good luck.

The internet didn't work for me. After 13 months of looking, I found a job thru personal networking.

I used Monster and a couple others years ago and had good responses, but they may well have changed in the last 8 years (it's been that long since I've looked for work).

There was actually a snippet on the news this morning about a guy who jsut said the usual means of job hunting aren't working anymore (he was a real estate exec, I believe), so in a suit and tie, he stood out on a corner during rush hour, with a big sign that said "Awesome Employee needs work" and his phone number. Don't know if it'll net him anything off the street, but I'll bet he gets some calls from companies that saw him on the news.

I haven't even had or needed a resume in 25 years but if things don't get better I may have to get one together...boy things are getting bad.

The last 3 jobs I've have come from Monster postings. I still get phone calls and emails several times a week but I'm not looking now. It doesn't hurt to have it updated and ready to go in this economy.
