anyone do any running or this fitness forum just for wieght lifting?

I'll be starting the P90x again next week... started it a couple months ago but injured my shoulder pretty good and had to stop.

as for running, I'm gonna run the Air Force Marathon in Sep so I'm training for that...

did 14 miles last week... my goal is 20 a week... but I just went to nights, hard to get on schedule...

I'm putting in around 10 miles a week on the treadmill; working on making that 15-20.

I lift and do some sort of cardio. I spend 45 minutes on the elliptical machine and I play basket ball for 2 hrs 2 nights a week.

Before I busted my clavicle I was doing 5K every morning, but I lost so much weight I had to cut back to 4 times per week...

As long as you can dedicate 60 min (not counting time to change/shower etc) for a workout, 6 days a week, then yes, it will work for you.
It doesn't matter WHEN you do it, just that you get it done.

Well, we seem to be discussing it here anyway, so tear it apart.
I would like to know what is wrong with it...

It works well for me because it gives direction, and keeps me on track and honest.
Otherwise, I just wander around the gym, do a couple sets of curls, check out the one chick in the gym, look at the bench and decide its too much work to put weights on the bar, get on the treadmill and run .25 miles before I remember I hate running on treadmills, check out the chick again, drink some water, do 50 sit ups while staring at the chick doing squats in front of me, look at the dip machine, talk to a buddy about the chick, wish they had more/better machines that I wouldn't use anyway, grab some dumbbells and not really do anything with them, check out chick again, weigh myself and cuss that I'm not losing weight, and then leave.
All in all, both take about the same amount of time, but one is a far better workout.

ugh, running, how I hate thee.
Necessary evil it is though, so I will get back into it once it decides to be a bit nicer out. With all the rain/snow we've been getting it's a slippery sloppy mess out there!

My goal is to be able to run all the way around Camp Bondsteel before we leave (about 7 miles, lots of hills)

I run on a treadmill. I do about 2.5 miles 5 or 6 days a week in the evenings. I'll probably up that to 3 miles a day here in the next week or so.

I was doing 3 miles a day last summer right up until I broke my arm. That really put an end to all things physical for me for quite a while. I've just recently been good enough to start it all back up again. It's coming slowly, but it's coming back.
