Default There's Always Someone Faster

Borrowing this from a local board: Video overlay of GT and F1 cars. "Scuse me, coming through".

While the camera positions are not exactly the same and may favor the F1's, it sure can't account for the total difference. Just, damn.

Puts it all in reality.

I've seen F1 twice in Indy, and it's amazing seeing them in person. You don't realize how fast they can corner until its seen from the bleachers. Coming down the front straight to turn one was impressive to say the least.

The top qualifying time for the Spa round of the British GT Championship in 2010 was a race modified Lambo Gallardo with a time of 2:24 while the lap record for F1 at that track is around 1:47. Assuming they are using the same layout that is a hell of a difference.

Yeah they do it back on belle isle now which use to be a race track anyway.
