My buddy just bought a 2011 R1, on our 1st group ride with the new bike, his rear tire went flat about 30 miles into our trip, his rear did not have a 120 miles on it yet. Sucks!

I felt the same way until the day I had to use 4 plugs to close a hole, then rode 200 miles home, and a couple of hundred on top of that until the new tire came. I'm not sure I would put a plug on the far edges of a bike tire, but anywhere in the middle 80% yeh go for it.

Plug it you pussy. I plugged a rear with no problems. I even use just plain jane soft rubber material. Didn't even have the re-inforced strands in them.
