Default MY bike is dead!!!!

ok, here is the sitiuation. I just got a vortex racing led clear tail light ... the one with the turn signals built in...I open the box and it had a plug to connect to the tail/brake light. then there was a yellow and a blue wire, the fucker came with no instructions so I decided to wait till I got a day off to fuck with it.. So I go to work today and my buddy decides to surprise me my hooking my shit up.

I get home and he tells me that when he hooked up the yellow and blue wires that control the signals, he must have gotten them wrong. he said he heard a spark and the bike went dead... no headlight, fuel pump, guage lights nothing.. I check the fuses under the seat and replace the main 30 amp fuse.. but nothing.. any ideas?

Kick his ass number one.

Did he leave them hooked up? If so, check battery voltage. He may have completely drained it somehow.

So your new taillight is off and your old taillight is back on? Check your battery with a voltmeter. It sounds like your buddy did a lot more than hook something up wrong in just the taillight wiring.

He tells me he had the key on when he was doing it, he hooked up on wire and the left tirn signal flashed, he thinks he might have crossed the wires, he sees a small arc and the power went out... I tryed to push start it but it still wont start.. I dont know if it is because the fuel pump needs power to operate on what? I am at a lose. is there another fuse or breaker type thing that I dont know about?

T Rock man I want to kick his ass bad.. believe me... I was going on a charity ride on saturday, but i dont know now..

remove the light altogether, make sure all connections exposed are taped up and try to jump start it.

All I can think of is fuses, unless somewhere a 12 volt wire got too hot and melted the coating and is now shorting the whole bike out. Even with low voltage on the battery there would still be headlights.

Probably shorted the battery and left it that way and killed the battery.
