it's not the source of your problem, but stop filling up w/ premium. Just cuz it's more expensive doesn't mean it's better for the bike, it just means it has more additives in it to raise the octane level, which is only needed for high compression engines prone to detonation.
Check your owners manual for the recommended octane & use that (or whatever's available w/o going below the recommended). Anything "better" is nothing but a waste of money. Also, GENERALLY the "cheaper" fuels get changed out more often because more people use them, which means there's less of a chance for condensation to build up in the bottom of the holding tank.
