For me it would be a SV650. Its light, easy to ride, easy to maintain slap a custom seat and windscreen on it and comfort won't be an issue. I'm small so the crappy suspension that i heard complaints about won't bother me, or nothing some cheap mods cant fix. I'm also familiar with the bike as I had an SV650s before and I still am kicking myself that I sold it.
I used to think that a dual sport was the way to go if I can only have one bike but i can't fit onto the more capable ones and i really don't like lowering bikes. But being out here where there is open roads I am limited on what I can do on the street. I guess it would depend on where I live, if I lived back in NYC then yes I would probably lean more towards a little dual sport, but since I don't, its a moot point. I really would like a monster 696 but if I can only have one bike for the next 10 years, I don't know if that would be it with all the maintenance and all. I would think after a while, and all those years it might be more hassle than its worth. Now I have never ridden a street triple but it has all that I am looking for in a bike as well. |
