Westchester Police: ER Worker Took Dying Man's Credit Cards
VALHALLA, N.Y. (AP/1010 WINS) -- Police in New York say a worker in a hospital emergency room stole credit cards from a dying plane crash victim. Westchester County police said Tuesday that 33-year-old Anthony Vassell was charged with grand larceny, identity theft and other crimes. They said he stole credit cards belonging to 53-year-old Daniel Bisk of Pleasantville, who was a passenger in a small plane that crashed Nov. 22 in Dutchess County. Bisk died Dec. 1 at Westchester Medical Center. Using Bisk's cards, Vassell and his girlfriend allegedly went shopping for $2,000 in clothing, jewelry, liquor, a computer and more. The girlfriend, 29-year-old Lisa Dacosta, was also charged. Both suspects live in the Bronx. County police had no information on their lawyers. |
