Further, believe it or not, sometimes technology does actually help.

I have used and trained with an M-16 and iron sights.
I have used and trained with an M-4 and both CCO and ACOG.

If I am going to be kicking doors and clearing rooms, and those are my choices, I'll take the M4 and CCO.

The M500 is preferable to both however, in that scenario.
