That said, I've interviewed some people for software positions who had all sorts of acronyms (e.g. SQL, HTML) on their resume and yet couldn't speak intelligently about any of them.
When I had to vet resumes, I found that fully 75% of them were professionally prepared. That tells you nothing about the candidate, apart from the fact he doesn't trust his written skills. Essentially all of those got tossed, on spec.
