NYC is cleaning up its subway lines
No more FML on the F, M and L train interchange at 14th st.... FML. Waste of money in my opinion

The signs at the 14th Street and 6th Avenue station in Manhattan needed to be changed, because the M line is replacing the V line. The sign then read "F-M-L," which stands for a vulgar phrase some use when nothing is going their way. The new 14th Street station sign, which separates the "L" from the "F" and "M." "I do think it's funny. It provides a little bit of entertainment when you take the subway," said one straphanger. "It gets rid of your stress. When you see 'FML,' you think of something else." "I think that they could do better things with the money for the city other than come and change a sign," said another. The L train has now been separated from the F and M on the signs and put on a separate line along with the 1, 2 and 3 trains. A spokesman for New York City Transit told the New York Times they decided to change it as soon as they became aware of it, even though the acronym is not widely recognized.[/IMG]
