Babies are "it" in my mind. I don't like them and I think they're ugly.

The truth is people don't remember, even trained ones. I had to do compressions on a guy in the field after he collapsed at the end of a 10k. I was running it, not working it. I hear people yell for medics and look to see a guy lying on the ground. I go over there and see a woman slapping the guy in the head saying "sir, sir, can you hear me" and shaking his head some more. I check his pulse and there isn't one. I start compressions and 30 seconds later the guy comes back. Saves in the field are rare, very very very rare. The woman who was slapping him said "It's okay sir, I'm an ER nurse". Dumb bitch didn't think to check his pulse and then did the biggest no-no, move someone's neck around after they fell to the ground.

They really need to campaign heavily with multiple lawyers saying "If you try CPR on someone and they die, you're protected under the good samaritin thingy mabober". People are scared to try something because what if the they don't need CPR, and I broke that person's ribs for nothing. I've seen a ton of people die from MIs becuase people didn't want to mess things up more and stood there. Including cops standing around who are generally trained in basic CPR if not first responder.
