Analog gauges are good for the street IMO. You don't have to look at them directly to know your speed. Digital you have to directly glance at it.

Maybe digital gauges allow for lighter weight (key for sport bikes) while other classes can keep a the ole needle for design aesthetic.

maybe....I'm not an expert on these things you know
