I had my first rifle at 9, but when Dad wasnt around I didnt have access...nothing wrong with kids having guns, but being unsupervised is a different story.

No she wasnt, she was in bed, most likely still asleep. Supervised means parent is standing RIGHT there. If parent is NOT right there, gun stays locked up and child does not have access.

Shit, even with my sisters being grown and lmost out of the house, my dads guns stay locked up and hidden.

I agree with you, the only times I ever saw my dad's guns were when one was in his hands, to this day I still have no clue where he kept them in the house when I was growing up.

The dad's girlfriend watching the kid is what the fathers defense will be when he's brought up on charges for his 11 year old son having a gun and not being supervised by an adult.

I had access to a pellet gun since around 13. I never in my life wanted to shoot anyone with it. I'll just never understand some of these kids.
