Default Online parts vendors...

Where do you get your parts from? What stores do you usually go to if you need a shift lever, brake lever, clutches, brake pads, synchros, pistons, clip-on's or insert your part here?!?

Me, I only know of a few and lately Bikebandit has done what I needed at what I thought was a decent rate.

Post up and tell us where you get your stuff so that we may do a little shopping around as well.

It depends on the part...if it's OEM I usually just go to the dealer because I get 20% and if it's not right,I don't have to go through a huge hassle. If it's aftermarket,I vary depending on what it is between the dealership and about 20 online suppliers plus EBay. For example,I'm paying about $10 more (tax) for for the leather pants I just ordered to get them from Ron Ayers because sizing may be an issue and I don't want the hassle of sending them back. If they are wrong R.A. will order me another pair and handle the return themselves. That's worth $10-20 to me.

There are a ton of online stores plus a local place that I normally go through. Motosport.com is one of the top ones. Ebay always has good deals.

NewEnough.com for gear and SoloMotoParts.com has been good to work with for hardware. I recently replaced 525 chain and both sprockets (OEM) for under $150 from them

MotorHelmets.com and NewEnough.com for gear, RonAyers.com for OEM parts, SportbikeTrackGear.com for Pilot Powers.

The local dealers suck for parts. I typically have to wait longer and pay more money to buy locally.

I have bought very few aftermarket parts that are available from more than one vendor.

For the futura I go through Af1 or sometimes a dealer upstate. For the suzukis it depends on what I am looking for, can usualy shop around to find a good deal on stuff and hopefully score free shipping too. Some other sites I have been using along with the above mentioned:

Competition accessories
Chapparal
Motorcycle superstore

some others are kneedraggers, hard racing and parts 411.

I have had problems with Dennis Kirk and they were not resolved.

Dennis Kirk and Bike Bandit will email you everyday for life after you order from them. Now I don't mine a monthly special email or a quarterly email but I went out of my way to check the box not to send me spam on both sites and I still have them sending me crap. Bike bandit sends like 2 a day, they goto my spam address but I will never order from them again because of it.
