Cool deal. When I said lighter I meant for people that will only purchase Shoei or Arai and such and wouldn't buy a Scorpion at any price...partially because they are heavier I imagine.

Sorry I was kinda answering your first question and addressing Trip's answer at the same time...

I think that the venting is better and the lid is lighter on the 700 vs the 400. I don't think that head shape is a factor though. There that's a bit better.

The 700 cools a little better, and the aerodynamics are much improved.

Sometimes the 400 will provide a little lift if you catch the wind the wrong way, the 700 doesn't, not that Ive seen anyway.

They weigh the same
