I just graduated in May with an Education degree and can't find a teaching job. Part of it has to do with the fact that I moved out of state right after graduating, so my certification is out of state and since Florida is run by a bunch of morons, its been taking me 3 months (and counting) to get the cert transferred to NY. But there are like 200 applications for each teaching position so being a first year teacher, the odds aren't in my favor to begin with.
But the moral of the story. After 2.5 months of being picky and unemployed, now I'm teaching preschool for $11/hr with a 35 minute commute. Buuut, then I'll have the title "teacher" on my resume for next school year when hopefully the whole certification transfer mess is over and I techincally have a year of prefessional experience. But then it will be time to get my master's, so I'll be in this mess all over again of course. |

The achievers are usually well into work at 11am. But those adult education programs as mentioned hold as much validity at the 11am lawyer commercials.
