Default CL is killing me..

In the past few weeks all kinds of old bikes have been popping up on CL Nashville and I want them all. Last night right before I went to bed a local ad for a 72' Honda 250 MoSport was on there. All original, all there, 4100 mi, been parked in a barn for a couple of years, $375.00 By 10 this morning it was gone. Now there is an Ossa/Yankee 500 on there. A few weeks ago there were a pair of MINT Yamaha 180 twins, a 1968 Street in blue and and a 1969 Street scrambler (Hi-Pipes) in Black & White $ 1700. ea, a very clean 75' Z1B $2200., H2, H1, all bikes I wanted back then and still do, damn it. Thank God most of the Brit bikes have been hacked into bobber/choppers so I don't have to feel bad about missing them, although there was that restored Triumph Triple..crap

Tell me about it. I saw an 86 F350 diesel for $50 a few nights ago that needed nothing but a steering wheel. I wish I'd had the cash and a trailer, it'd be worth it if for nothing else, to use the motor for something cool.

Vice Grips make good steering wheels.

I wouldn't mind having a GT750 either. Heavy, but porting, pipes and carbs give them a bad attitude that can be very interesting.. And they were just ugly enough that converting one to a race replica doesn't really do them harm.

truth, they look badass cafe'ed out with chambers. Personally id prefer a 550 indy with the led gear indicator but those suckers are hard to find. Id love to take a big smoke to one of the local bike nights, probably get some interesting reactions
