Agreed and speaking of traction control it got me once in a 95 LT1 Vette that I had just purchased. I sold a 5 speed supercharged Mustang and bought the Vette. It had an automatic tranny and traction control and when I drove off of the lot I went by a friend's house to show it to him. I was leaving and of course the guys had the normal "do a burn out" request and I was going to do just a short one but forgot to turn the traction control off...well the Vette bogged down and limped off and I thought something was wrong with the car. I had never had a car with traction control before DOH !!

Cool deal. This was a 95 and you could either turn it on or off.

On my Z06 it's a bit more sophisticated than the 95 and it can be overridden of course plus a few other choices. It has Traction Control and an Active Handling System which can both be left on or turned off.

It also has another option which I keep the car in called Competition Mode.

That disables Traction Control but keeps the Active Handling System enabled...love it and have seen a few Vipers and Mustangs in the ditch that doesn't have that option.

That guy was an idiot and shouldn't be allowed to keep that car. It's one thing to show off. It's another matter altogether to abuse it like that. :/

My '94 LT1 has traction control. I try to leave the button alone that turns it on and off though. Rear tires get expensive for that car. LOL

Car control fail at basic level.
I have seen pro drivers fuck up burnouts after winning a race. A burnout proves little about your driving skill. Just cause you get caught fucking one up in one video, doesn't mean you can't do one.

Maybe some people just don't drag or street-race. There is a lot more to performance driving than those 2 events.

Most people I know who streetrace fall flat on their face on a twisty road. Much less ever participate in autocross or road course events.
