Heaven's Waiting Room
That is what FLL airport terminal 2 is right now. Well, that and a TSA cluster fuck. Gave them plenty of attitude to test them this morning and they didn't push back. Just get me the fuck home. This trip has sucked.

My travel season is about to start back up after a 60 day hiatus (amazed it went that long). I used to wonder if it could actually GET any worse... And then it did and continues to do so. If I had a nickle for every hour wasted in airports, I'd be freaking rich.

If they make a bullet train from ATL to anywhere in South Florida I'll be ecstatic. I'd happily drive a rental from Tampa, Naples, West Palm, wherever to Fort Lauderdale for work if I didn't have to deal with airline travel or the TSA.

Um... my biggest problem with this idea is simple. How do you protect thousands of miles of track from vandals and terrorists? Besides, do you think that it'll be any easier to get on one of these trains than it is a plane? I mean, what a target for terrorists. We build a train system costing billions of dollars and they can take it out with a small bomb on a bridge/track Hogan's Heroes style... It would be super easy, bomb on track with a proximity sensor on the train.
