Default Whats your long trip list?

So what do you put on your long bike trip list? Euraka springs will be the longest Ive gone on 2 wheels. I want to make sure I dont miss something. I know clothes will take up the most space. The trip will last us 6 days, but I wont be taking 6 days worth of clothes. Hopefully the hotels will have a laundry room or Ill sneak them in while theyre washing sheets. Ewwww...

If you wouldnt mind posting from what clothes you take to the smallest things you take.

Clothes take up the least amount of space when I'm on a trip, but my nights are spent camping, not in a hotel. Most of my space is taken up by camping gear.

Realistic or no?

I'd like to take about 6 months and cruise around the US... all of the lower 48, probably piss around in Canada for a couple of weeks somewhere along the way... Take my time, see the sights, and spend lots of time turning around to hit that one road just one more time...

Off the top of my head here's what I take:

tent
sleeping bag
thermarest sleeping pad
1 pair shorts
1 pair jeans
4 pair undershorts (less if trip is less than 4 days... but no more... just find a laundromat)
4 pair socks
1 pair casual shoes... usually running shoes
2 shirts (short sleeve if it's warm weather one short one long if I"m unsure)
Laptop
Camera
extra camera battery
extra memory cards for camera
cables for Laptop and camera
First Aid kit(I use the one I was issued but never gave back when I was deployed)
Tool Kit (sockets and wrenches from 7mm-19mm double sockets of 8-14mm)
4 flashlights (can't ever seem to find them when I need them if i carry less)
Knife (4" CKT pocket knife)
Multi-tool
spare tubes (one for each tire... if used first chance replace it)
air pump

that's all I can think of right now... my tool roll has a lot of little things like zip ties, tape, sharpies, JB weld... ect

This is about right. Good socks are more important than anything else. Of course, I take more toiletries than you do But, no more clothing than that other than a pair of flip-flops.

I don't take that many flashlights - but, one that I do take is http://www.rei.com/product/798016/jo...led-flashlight so it can hook on anything.
