Default Smoke a Joint, Lose Your Child?

People caught with small amounts of marijuana in New York State are supposed to receive no more than a $100 fine, the equivalent of a traffic ticket. Instead, in New York City, many such people are being accused of child neglect, even if they are never charged with a drug-related violation. And some have even lost custody of their children.

And the politicians in NY wonder why 2 million people have left the State and they are losing 2 seats in the House of Representatives.

No, that's the ridiculously high fucking taxes and often oppressive traffic enforcement.

This hasn't made anyone leave yet but give it time.

Pot laws are getting more strict by the day. Interesting thing watching the various governments fight back so hard against what the people want. Oklahoma just passed a law that makes "hash manufacturing" punishable by LIFE in prison.... (Hash is just compacted THC and is completely safe and impossible to OD on)

OMFG, that's insane. LIFE in prison for a harmless herb, that was only ever criminalized because logger barons wanted to sell more paper?

That's just insane. People are just fucking insane. How does a law like that get passed?
