Default Funny Local Craigslist Ad

I don't normally bash people's ads. What they're selling and how much their asking is their problem, not mine. But, I just had to share this one.

http://omaha.craigslist.org/mcy/2851782534.html
  • bike covered in snow
  • chain rusty
  • plastics broken
  • possible frame damage (look at the bent slider)
  • muffler damage on the right side (look how close it is to the swingarm, you can also see road rash on it)
  • rusty brake rotors
  • bent subframe
  • bike has been wrecked on both sides (see bullets above)

All of that, and the guy wants $8000. I wouldn't give $5000 for it.

Why wouldn't you pay full asking price for a bike that has had such loving care...

The guy probably knows he wont get what he's asking. Doesn't hurt to ask...

Offer him 3k and you got yourself a track bike that needs a little work. Sell the street bits for race plastics, braided lines and some other upgrades and youre set

If I was allowed (damn wife) to have a second bike, I would actually consider that.

Looks like a scam to me, one that the guy took photos that are new and used them.

I suppose if I had more free time, I'd go check it out in person and take some photos. Then we could all have a chuckle.
