Their use to be 5 to 10 of us any given Sunday in the school parking lot F'n around on these things. Lots of rash and even more fun. The fad just played itself out. Just a few even still have'em now and nobody rides sept in driveway any more.

I see some folks (students) here in Fayetteville commuting around town on these things...The larger pocket bikes even though they will run 50 don't look safe or legal as they dont have any lights, signals, or mirrors...

My little rocket weighs 321 #'s with all fluids but gas as it sits right now. It puts out about 84 hp at the crank. (904 stock, 42mm keihins, Moto Corse full system). If I go with the FBF big bore kit :
BF 944cc big bore Kit 12.1 pistons Titanium connecting rods FBF power crank FBF ported cylinder heads Oversized valves Lightweight flywheel If Ferracci installs it, they guarantee 100 hp AT THE REAR WHEEL. Lesse; if I ditch the Antara mags and go with Dymag CF's, I'll save a whopping 24 lbs alone. (http://www.oncycles.com/dymag/carbon.asp). The aluminum flywheel saves almost 6 lbs., Ti clipons, pegs, CF custom bodywork for the top and side panels, and mebbe Ti triples and lighter weight rotors than the big Brembos, I should be able to shave another 5-8 lbs....that should put me in the 285-9 range; it'll make more power everywhere but most of it goes to the top end, it won't have the all-or-nothing lightswitch powerband of a highly tuned two-stroke...... HMMMMMM.................................... |
