IMHO my gf is "average" but she'd have to go a long way to be considered obese. I guess it's another perspective issue.
I'm not talking about appearances. I'm talking about BMI and a healthy weight for your height/age.

BMI is pretty much bs without taking into consideration % bodyfat. If you just look at BMI alone, a bodybuilder would be considered obese & unhealthy, which is bs.

my mom was over weight and my father was overweight for my entire childhood. we ate out fast food regularly and did a lot of snacking so i ballooned up to 220lbs by the time i was 13 and was maybe only 5'5''. OBVIOUSLY quite over weight no excuses there poor diet and lack of physical activity

when i went off to high school i dropped all the way to 120 lbs and it felt great didnt take diet pills or starve myself did it with plian old fashion working out and eating right. honestly not that challenging. seriously as you see the weight come off it motivates you

now due to some pretty severe health and pain problems(not helped by being at work on my feet running around like a madman for the better part of 8 hrs a day) im unable to due the kind of working out i used to and it drives me nuts cuz now im back up to the high 140s, i dont know why any one would want to be obese cuz being slightly overweight im unhappier than i used to be when i was really active. now i just try to eat smaller amounts of what i used to and share snacks and food with friends and have recently started doing modified exercises i got from my doctor. like i said its not hard.

i really just gotta wonder how people can get themselves to 300lbs+ and not want to do something about it and say things like theyre "happy being bigger" or "if i wanna eat something im gonna eat it and not worry about it" seriously if you want an oreo have an oreo you know what go ahead and have three but dont sit on your ass all day long and have half a pack of them.

My 12yo son who is going into 7th grade just measured 5'8" 172lbs. Because of his size, strength and speed, he is the only 7th grader that will play on the A league(8th grade only). Just bought him some new cleats.....men's size 13.

He is off the charts according to the Dr's. He was a little chunky up until this year but I sent him to Parisi Speed School and ever since he has slimmed down a lot. www.parisischool.com

That's a big boy!

It's pretty typical though for them to chunk up, then get taller and stretch out. At least that is what my mom said me and my brothers would do. We always got a little chunky right before a growth spurt.
