Sorry you crashed. That sucks.
That is what this thread was about, right? I couldn't tell with the e-pissing contest going on.

It's not "automatically" your fault, there are possible mitigating circumstances. Um this isn't a single vehicle accident, Bro... I know that sport bikes get into a lot of single vehicle accidents and I've heard the "gravel" excuse plenty of times myself BUT that doesn't mean that every accident, regardless of circumstances is the rider's fault. I just don't appreciate the guilty until proven innocent POV when it comes to sport bike riders. Anyway, I hope that you are all right and that you and your bike are back on the road asap! |

Fuck that..accidents happen. She's up here posting so she's ok.
What can we learn from the accident? What can be shared? I will say whenever I hear someone say they were involved in a motorcycle accident, my first question is "What dumbass thing were you doing?" Minivan cut her off, and she locked up the brakes? What the hell was the speed difference that you locked up the brakes and where the hell was your buffer zone? Where you scanning? Checking cage mirrors as you over taking people? |

Sorry to hear about your spill Zippiechickie. I am always weary of vans/minivans because they have horrible blind spots and are often filled with distracted drivers/kids. Hope you heal up and get your bike fixed and back on the road soon.

Yea, I went for a ride with my gf yesterday and I counseled her on staying away from minivans and suvs. I told her to avoid staying off their sides if possible and to never remain at their corners. I explained that she was the rabbit and as the rabbit it was her responsibility to look out for and avoid danger!

I almost got taken out by a lady in a black Sedan DeVille last night. She cut right in front of me while changing lanes without even looking.(parking lot speeds)

Too much jumping to conclusions here, theres not that much detail she gave so its easy to speculate. And like the gravel I will always blame the minivan Tom |
